Over 1,000 students may be affected if the Monetary Award Program (MAP) is not funded by the State of Illinois. Students were promised this need-based grant in their financial aid package, but there  is no funding yet available to pay for these grants. A bill to fund MAP (SB 2043) will go to the Governor on Tuesday, Feb. 16, and we are inviting students, faculty and staff to gather outside the Thompson Center at 100 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60601 that day from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. to rally with other students and universities. Please join us and spread the word to students and colleagues. We encourage you to make a sign with “Support MAP Funding”, “Governor Rauner sign SB 2043”
