Just out of curiousity, where are you or your family originally from in Mexico (that is if you're Mexican). My father is from San Luis, Potosi. I'm just wondering if our last name is from that region.

No Gardenia, I have never done anything with Fiesta del Sol, I go to it, am familiar with it, and am familiar with Pilsen, I know and support a lot of artists that live and work there, I have contributed art materials to artist Roberto Valadez for some of the community projects he works on through Casa Aztlan. I myself grew up not far from there and used to play baseball at Harrison Park. The Mexican Fine Art Museum is one of my favorite places.

Thank you, for your comment, the theme of duality in Mexican Art as well as my art is one I like to explore, that particular painting is one that I did for the BareWalls Benefit for the School of the Art Institute three years ago, the Idea being that life and death is a journey, death will entertain you along the way.
