WBDC Connect & Celebrate: Chicago is the annual gathering of local and regional women business owners and corporate, government, and community partners for a day of learning, connecting, and celebrating success hosted by the Women’s Business Development Center.
The event will feature a powerhouse interview luncheon with Maria Contreras-Sweet, an expert on economic growth and job creation, and the former Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration under President Barack Obama.
Following the luncheon, participants are invited to attend panels on key business topics including marketing, strategy, and technology. Attendees can also visit the business resource center to connect with a range of small business service providers.
Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)-Certified Women Business Enterprises can register to get pre-matched to pitch for contracting opportunities to representatives from large corporate and government entities.
Following the afternoon sessions, attendees will gather for a supplier diversity panel discussion titled “How the Current Economy is Impacting Procurement Trends” and an awards celebration for 2018 WBDC award recipients.
Throughout the day, attendees are invited to attend a Galleria marketplace where 25 local female entrepreneurs will showcase their products.
