¡VIVA! Annual Scholarship Fundraiser for Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Date: Thursday, May 7, 2009 Location: Harris Theater’s Rooftop Terrace at Millennium Park Time: 5:30 pm - 10:30 pm ¡VIVA! is a fun, festive event gathering over 1,100 of Chicago’s leading young business professionals. The Event features: - a live and silent auction - a raffle - a mariachi band - a d.j. spinning Latin and Brazilian music - a fabulous salsa band - cocktails, food and dancing! All proceeds raised go directly towards Cristo Rey’s student scholarship fund. Tickets: Advance tickets are $100 per person; $850/group of 10 Tickets can be Purchased at www.thevivaevent.net About Cristo Rey: • The average income of a family of five is $34,000. • Students earn 70% of the cost of their education through the Corporate Internship Program (CIP). • 70% of students still need help paying their tuition. (That’s where ¡VIVA! comes in.) • For the past seven years, 99% of Cristo Rey seniors have been accepted to at least one college, coming from an area where only 9% of adults have a college degree. • 86% of Cristo Rey students have graduated from or are currently in college.
