WHAT: Batch 19 is celebrating Repeal Day this year by stepping back in time the only way a brand with deep roots in the 1920’s can – with painted grayscalers. A scene consisting of real people, props and corresponding background coated from top to bottom in black and white will be the main attraction in bar events coming to Chicago.

Repeal Day occurred on December 5, 1933 and marked the end of the Prohibition Era with the ratification of the 21st Amendment, restoring the right to consume alcohol. The Batch 19 recipe was discovered in the basement archives of a brewery dating back before Prohibition and is inspired by the last batches of beer brewed before 1919.

Fans looking to cheers to this pivotal time in beer’s history in Chicago can come to Moonshine on Thursday, November 29. Those in attendance can pose with the grayscalers and have their photo taken with an authentic background by a 1920’s inspired photographer. With Batch 19 available for all, join us as we pay tribute to the end of Prohibition in style.

In addition to Chicago, consumers can look for similar upcoming events in San Diego, Raleigh, Philadelphia, Dallas, Washington D.C., Denver, Sacramento, Phoenix, Milwaukee and Covington, KY. Specific times, locations and additional details are available on Batch 19’s Facebook page: Facebook.com/Batch19.
