Friday, October 1, marks the first day of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Join local nonprofit agency Between Friends in creating community awareness by tying purple ribbons to the trees outside Fourth Presbyterian Church. The church is located at 126 E. Chestnut Street, across the street from Water Tower Place on Michigan Avenue.Volunteers will be needed on Thursday, September 30 from 10 am to 1 pm. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, contact Yesenia at (773) 274-5232.
