Trio Ollin is a group made up of true masters of traditional Mexican music from the Ollin Yoliztli Cultural Center in Mexico City. These multi-instrumentalists perform on an amazing array of instruments including harp, jaranas, flutes, percussion and violin. They have performed in New York, Japan and all over Mexico. Their Chicago debut is part of a two-week residency at the Old Town School that includes intensive workshops and collaborations.
The artists will give a workshop as part of the Thursday Workshop Series on November 18th.
