The first all-Cuban timba band in the U.S., Tiempo Libre has earned international acclaim for its joyful performances of timba - a sophisticated, dance-inducing mix of high-voltage Latin jazz and the rhythms of Cuban son. Its members were classically trained in Havana's prestigious music conservatories, but they now call Miami home.
