Please email Cheryl by 2pm on Thursday, August 13th central standard time to receive complimentary admission. *** DESCRIPTION (Washington, DC) The National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI), the premier executive leadership organization preparing Latinas for positions of national and international influence, public policy impact, and to contribute to the advancement of the Hispanic community, will hold its fifth Latina Empowerment Conference (LEC) of 2009 in Chicago, Illinois on Friday, August 14th, from 8 am to 3 pm More than 700 Latinas have attended sold-out LECs in Philadelphia, PA, Washington, DC, Austin, TX and Chicago, IL since the 2009 series kicked-off in early April—far surpassing attendance goals at each event. Attended by leaders from the corporate, non-profit, and government sectors, among others, NHLI's empowerment training conferences are open to the public and held in different cities across the country. The conferences offer professional development training, networking opportunities with regional and national leaders, and peer to peer learning through an interactive panel of successful Latina leaders.
