Latino students are underrepresented in college enrollment and degree attainment at public institutions in most states, according to a report released Wednesday by the Education Trust.
The study found that, when compared with states' proportions of Latino residents, Latino students are underrepresented at both community and technical colleges and at four-year institutions in most states. States with the largest Latino populations didn't provide Latinos the same access as white students to selective public four-year colleges.
