Diversity at elite universities and colleges is a hot topic. Last month the Supreme Court upheld the practice of affirmative action in the Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin case. But the legal battle over race-conscious admissions is far from over. Harvard University faces a lawsuit by Students for Fair Admissions alleging that the school’s admissions policies discriminate against Asian American applicants.
One notable point about these lawsuits is that they spotlight the diversity dilemma still facing many image-conscious universities.
