(BIO) TommyRay Sena Mr. Sena is presently works for the Colorado Department of Transportation, Mr. Sena has all so worked for a National nonpartisan nonprofit organization called Mexican American State Legislators Policy institute as the Executive Assistant to The Executive Director in which he was responsible for the research studies and analysis On current public policy resources to establish linkages cooperatives for companies, Educational institutions, policy makers and community leaders to support an active and Effective network for elected officials including the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (MASLPI) is a think tank on public policy that impacts the life of Latinos. His undergraduate major at Metropolitan State College at Denver is Communications With a minor in Psychology His political interest includes: grassroots empowerment organizing and coordinating on Issues as well as with campaigns nationally, state and local. His primary area is Governmental Relations, Community Relations and Advance Team Networking In (87) He had the opportunity to campaign for former Legislator and Mayor Federico Pena of Denver, Denver's first Hispanic Mayor. In (93) Mr. Pena was appointed by The President Clinton to serve as Secretary of Transportation, in (97) he also served as Secretary of Energy, Mr. Pen a presently is Senior Advisor for Vestar Capital Partners. After the Campaign he did his internship with former State Legislator Tony Hernandez of Southwest Denver from (87thru90) who was also appointed by The President in (92) to serve as Regional Secretary for Housing & Urban Development (HUD), Mr. Hernandez currently works for Colorado Department of Local Affairs In (88) he worked as a Liaison for the National Democratic Platform Committee in Denver, Colorado with Former Legislator and Colorado State Senator Polly Baca who at that time was the Vice Chairwoman for the National Hispanic Democratic Caucus in this position he worked With national Congressional leaders as well as with state and local issues that were Incorporated into the Presidential national agenda in (94) Ms. Baca was appointed by the President to serve as Regional Representative for General Service Administration in Colorado. Today Ms. Baca is involved with Governmental Relations Business. In (96) Mr. Sena worked with Colorado leaders on Adelante Con Clinton/Gore campaign in which he served as a link Between media networks as well as with the advance team in (98) he helped Ken Salazar Colorado's first Hispanic Attorney General. In (2002) he organized Colorado Latino Voting Project, Colorado's first nonpartisan Latino voter registration & (GOTV) A national nonpartisan organization called the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project ask him if they can be partners in mobilize he said yes, so as their State Coordinator he did voter registration & GOTV and held a state-wide Latino Academy in Denver hosted by Ricardo Castanon and former Regional Director for (SVREP). In 2004 he was a paid staff with DNC Presidential campaign for Kerry/Edwards in Northwest Denver, CO. 2009 he worked on U.S. Sen. Barrack Obama, IL. Presidential Latinos for Obama campaign in Colorado, he currently seats on the Political Committee for the Colorado Latino Forum a State wide non-partisan organization.
