Former Board Member, Streetwise. A non-profit organization that seeks to empower men and women who are homeless or at risk of being so. The goal is for them to sell the Streetwise newspaper as they work towards gainful employment and self-sufficiency. 2003- 2005 Board Member – Thresholds – Thresholds assists and inspires people with severe mental illnesses to reclaim their lives by providing the supports, skills and the respectful encouragement that they need to achieve hopeful and successful futures. 2006- present Commissioner – Oak Park Housing Authority – 2005-present Member of Village of Oak Park Housing Advisory Committee, 1993 to 1997

Hobbies & interests

My hobbies and interest including golfing and right now Argentine Tango dancing. I organize every in April, the Chicago Mini Tango Festival (www.chicagotangofestival.com) where I invite tango instructors from Argentina to come and teach and perform. Next year will be our fifth year. From time to time I also dance salsa and mambo.
