About me
My name is Omaris Zamora I am Dominican, but grew up in Humboldt Park, so I have a great Puerto Rican influence that forms part of who I am. I consider myself to be very ambitious, goal-oriented, focused, disciplined, overly organized, and responsible. I like meeting new people and working with others to bring essential resources to my community.

As of right now a student, but in the future: Professor in Latin American & Latino Studies
Background/Education/Experience
I am a Dominican from Humboldt Park. A student at the University of Chicago finishing two Bachelor's degrees one in Latin American & Caribbean Studies and the other in Romance Languages & Literatures (Spanish). I currently work at the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs and LGBTQ Programming office.
Organizations & clubs
I am very involved with my church, a proud founding sister of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. (Epsilon Beta Chapter), and a member of the Puerto Rican Students Association at the University of Chicago.
What languages do you speak?
Spanish, Engish, and a little bit of Russian

I love writing and performing poetry, reading, playing and watching sports, working out, and going out with my friends and family.
